The service users in this home have complex and changing needs therefore applicants must be extremely competent in administering medication. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and delegate tasks is essential. We are also recruiting for a Support Worker at this home covering the same shifts. The position of Senior Support Worker is a responsible and active role requiring flexibility in the individuals working approach. Candidates should show commitment to their role through training and being motivated to work either within a team or on their own initiative, showing willingness to adapt to the changing needs in the working environment is essential. As a Senior Support Worker you will be providing a combination of support and personal / domestic care whilst ensuring the privacy and dignity of the individual Pay rates are between £7.11 (support worker) -£7.62p/hr (senior) and duties are across 24 hours including earlies/lates/nights. Sleep in duties are between 20:00-07:00 and the pay rate is £225.27 for this duty.

The Candidate:

  • NVQ level 3 (level 2 considered dependent on experience)
  • at least 6 months solid UK experience environment.
  • possess excellent communication skills.

They are currently seeking to recruit a Domiciliary Care Manager -Children and Young People/Outreach Services. This specialist services based in Surrey. Barking and Dagenham, Newham, Redbride, Hackney and Tower harmlet are the first of its kind to be developed from inception to implement Social Pedagogy. The Home is registered for five young people aged 11 to 17 years of age. The Group is also developing several 24 hour units to support young people aged 16 to 18 years old and mother and babies in supported accommodation. You will be responsible for managing a range of direct services which will include:

  • respite and short break
  • early intervention support (family assessment)
  • outreach and supported accommodation 

You will manage a range of services and support for early intervention work as directed by a local authority through fulfilling their support/care plans and undertaking assessments as required. act as the registered manager (care quality commission) for the services and ensure the service meets statutory registration standards. ensure that home based family support and other break services operate in a planned and co-ordinated way. establish and maintain good links (ie, childcare disability team) that are managed elsewhere. recruit, motivate, develop and manage staff to ensure all staff have good quality supervision and personal development/training plans. maintain system for monitoring outcomes for children and families the post is based at head office in Ilford, Essex. you will attend meetings in a variety of locations including family homes and will have to deal with families in crisis. the registered manager is responsible for delivery short break and early intervention services in London through the provision of home based family support and a sitting service for disabled children and their families as well as those on the cusp of care services. qualifications/skills required: recognised social work qualification registered manager's award an ability to effectively engage, sustain and disengage with young people and their families evidence of collaborative working in partnership with other agencies.
