Livingstone health care uses its resources and expertise to enhance the quality of life of its service users and support its workforce to enable them deliver a high quality standard of care. The founder of Livingstone Health Care has over 13 year experience working as a carer to the management level in mental health, elderly, learning disability, autism, duo diagnoses, substance misuse, dementia, nursing care, supported living etc. The founder has successfully achieve Diploma level 5 in leadership and management in health and social care, and extended diploma level 7 in strategic leadership and management.

The operation manager has 33 years working experience in NHS as Registered Nurse (RN) at GP surgery, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) as well as Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN).

Co-founder has 40 years experience working in hospitals, home care, care homes, and experience as housing officer. Qualification as midwife nurse, NVQ level 4 leadership and management in care.

Our domiciliary care service, seeks to provide support to a wide variety of people and service user groups. Our aim is to enhance the quality of life of the most vulnerable and less able people within our community and their carers.

All Care Staff within the Livingstone Health Care are appropriately qualified and trained to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff-training programme is implemented to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with the latest developments in Care Practices.

Staff Retention

Staff retention is a management responsibility. Staff turnover is very rarely the fault of the staff; it is an indicator of management malfunction. Staff usually leave because either they were inappropriately recruited, or perceive that the work is not what was discussed on recruitment. Both are solely management responsibilities. The Registered Provider will identify and quantify staff retention as a key policy objective, and support and train managers to achieve that objective. A coordinated and planned approach will be undertaken in order to maximise the retention of staff • All managers will understand that staff retention is a strategic management issue, and that successful retention requires a thorough understanding of the purpose of certain personnel policies and procedures (listed below). The Registered Provider will ensure that managers are supervised and performance managed against reasonable staff retention targets.

Management Protocol

Members of the Care team are responsible for providing personal Care for the Service Users to the standards adopted by the organization, and administration teams are to provide support to the Service Users. Members of the administration team are responsible for providing administrative services to the standards adopted by the organization. The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring that services delivered by those reporting to them are to the standard adopted by the organization, applying corrective measures, discipline and praise as appropriate. The Registered Provider is responsible for working with the Registered Manager to identify, adopt and disseminate appropriate standards of service, and ensuring that adequate resources and training are available to meet the agreed standards.
